Summary:
The Accountant Senior is responsible for supporting the financial operations of Villa de Matel Center and affiliated entities through general accounting, accounts payable, payroll support, financial reporting, reconciliations, fixed asset accounting, and audit support. This position ensures financial transactions are processed accurately, timely, and in compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). The Accountant Senior maintains vendor records, processes invoices and payments, prepares account reconciliations, assists with month-end and year-end closings, supports payroll activities, and prepares financial reports and schedules. The position also assists with audits, IRS reporting requirements, cash management activities, and maintaining internal controls.
The successful candidate demonstrates strong analytical and organizational skills, attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality of financial, payroll, employee, and organizational information.
