The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel systems, hydraulics, and electrical troubleshooting for both on-road and off-road equipment.Responsibilities:Inspect, assess, and repair container handling equipment and heavy trucks.Perform routine and preventive maintenance on side loaders, hostlers, forklifts, and related machineryTroubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems including pumps, valves, motors, filters, and hosesConduct driveline repairs on components such as axles, bearings, rings, and other related partsMaintain accurate records of repairs and inspectionsOperate safely in a fast-paced, outdoor railyard environment and adhere to all company safety protocolsCollaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure timely and efficient repairsQualifications:1–3 years of experience as a container handling equipment mechanic or service technicianPrevious crane mechanic experience a plusHydraulic systems experience required (pumps, valves, motors, filters, and hoses)Driveline component repair experience (axles, bearings, ring, etc.)Ability to work in various weather conditionsAbility to work in a safety focused environmentAbility to lift 50lbsMust have a Valid Driver's LicenseMust pass a pre-employment background verification, physical and drug screening.The Federal Rail Administration sets and enforces safety regulations and standards for railroad operations.
